Life Feels Boring Add A Little Lipstick

Words From Angela Mczeke,
I have watched women look for external validation from questionable places. They look for people to tell them they are beautiful before they start to believe that they truly are. They search outside, in the face of their fellow humans, for a source of strength and recognition. Without the praise, acceptance, and approval they get from other people, they feel lost.
This does not mean that outside validation is all evil. After all, it is reasonable to want your ideas, achievements, opinions, or choices validated by others. The problem comes when you get all your validation from others and none from yourself. Even the most independent person in life still occasionally seeks validation from outside sources. The problem with living without self-validation, you become an empty shell of your old self once the outside validation stops.
