The Secret Place

Everyone needs a secret place: a place where you go when you want to be alone. A place where you go when you want to shut everyone out and have a good cry. A place where you want your thoughts to flow freely like water cascading a waterfall. A place where you want to reflect and make adjustments in your life. But more than that, we all need a place where it’s safe to come out of hiding. We need a place to kick off our shoes, toss our coats and lay our heads to rest. We need a place where it’s safe to peel off all the layers and let our true selves show. We need a place where we can take off our masks and be real. A place we can be naked and not ashamed. That’s what a secret place is.
